In the beginning there was darkness. There is always darkness in the beginning and that's why there in actually nothing to fear when you find yourself surrounded by it from time to time. Think of it instead as the start of something new and wonderful. For that is how you can miraculously weave darkness into something new and magical rather than believe it to be something that is meant to do you great harm. For the reality is; darkness is nothing more than a universal oven.
It was from just such darkness that the creator himself brought our own planet into existence many eons ago. It was not, I must add, the first time that the creator had brought into being a new planet out of darkness. He had weaved a multitude of other planets, solar systems and galaxies into existence well before he had conceived the idea of making us in his own image here on planet earth.
It was rumored at the time amongst his angels that he was lonely and wanted to hear us talk to him through prayer and meditation - asking him for advice, help and guidance. But like most unfounded rumors I fear there is not a lot of truth in its telling.
It is true that he held a great affinity for our kind as along with free will, he also bestowed upon us the noble and majestic unicorn. The purest and most beautiful of all his creatures; the unicorn possesses not only the power to heal, but to soothe the soul and connect whomever rides it directly with the realm of all his divine beings. It is so pure and magical that only the wickedness of man can destroy it through deceit and a wanton lust for the remarkable healing properties of its horn.
There was a time when they roamed freely around the planet in bountiful abundance. Often sighted close to where a person pure of heart and strong of spirit could be found. For unicorns by nature are attracted to purity and innocence. But alas, with such sorts of people now longer as easily found, unicorns seem to have totally disappeared into the ether from whence they first came.
There is still the occasional story of one being sighted in India or the Himalayas every five or six years. But these sightings are so few and far between to lend them much credence in the hearts of modern man as to be believed. There are others still that suppose in the time of the great flood; Noah forgot to call them to his ark and in so doing, precipitated their early demise. But nothing could be further from the truth as unicorns are elemental beings gifted with powers from the air, wind, fire and water in equal measure.
The first unicorn that was formed by the hands of the almighty was given the name Unus. He alone amongst his kind was given the most beautiful set of wings much like the creator's angels and a horn of pure gold that was imbued with the vibrations of universal love and compassion. For a time he saw great promise in us all; protecting us from all sorts of harm and misadventure. But when we started to lose sight of what was "truly" important, and stopped heeding his wise council, he flew off to the mountaintops of the Himalayas where he still lives to this day with the creators other elemental beings. Patiently awaiting; a time of great change and inner redemption from our kind.
A time when we shall all learn to give back to Mother Earth - rather than bleed her dry of all her inherent goodness. A time when we have become giving and grateful for what we already have; rather than grasping and possessive for what we'd greedily like to attain. A time when we once again posses the purity of heart that allows us to see unicorns around us as easily as we can the birds, bees and other creatures of this realm.
It is not an impossible dream; all it takes is a willingness to want to make a change for the better. Go then in search of unicorns for they please the lord greatly. As shall we when we prove that we were indeed deserving of them to begin with.
