Life is prone to knock us around;
Mostly when we least expect it
But we've always got the choice
To get back up
So don't you ever forget it!
It's completing the race; not winning that counts
That reveals what your life will hold
The not giving up no matter the odds
That's worth more than a cup made from gold
So get back up I tell you
No good ever came from giving up
Leave the pity to those who accept it
With strength you'll get out of your rut
No, life isn't fair so accept it
Don't blame others for where you are now
No one wants to hear your excuses?
We just want to see sweat on your brow
Who cares if you're hurt or feel lonely?
It's a right of passage that has to be paid
But wallow too long and you'll fast come undone
By waiting until it's too late
So get back up I tell you
Dark clouds always give way to the light
And the man with the faith of a mustard seed
Will be showered in nothing
But love and light
Namaste!
