I met an honest man just the other day
It had been so long since I'd met one last
That I didn't know quite what to say
He spoke cheerfully and politely;
Meant every word that crossed his lips
And not once during our conversation
Was a lie or mistruth by him let slip
I wish I could meet more people like him
What a nicer place this world of ours would be
People that genuinely cared and helped others
Instead of thoughts of me, me and more me!
I know a world like this is actually possible
And wouldn't really take too long to create
It all starts by us all trying to be a little better
And that's not really such a bad change to make
So let us all be the change that we seek in life
Let us speak truthfully and from the heart
I now it might not seem like a lot right now
But it's truly a great place to start!
