To Thine Own Self Be True
Quietly and lovingly make your way through each day
Mindful of the joy that exists in silence and solitude

The soul sings sweetest in the stillness of silence
As the heartaches of the heart heal best then

As much as you can; try to get along with people
Without the need for compromising
Your own morals or beliefs

Do not judge others on what they wear;
Where the live; how they look
Or how much money they have in the bank

Rather; judge a person - if you must;
On the kindness contained within their soul;

Their willingness to extend a helping hand
And how quickly they forgive when wronged

Remember! We all make mistakes!
None of us are perfect, whole or complete!

Everyone deserves a second chance;
is in need of a good friend;
Hurts; falls, fails and struggles

Be then; a friend to those most in need

Embrace the passage of time like an old friend
Whilst lovingly letting go of youth's fleeting mask

There is much strength in surrender
And shedding the skin of that which no longer is

Enjoy the work you do; however humble
For each of us makes a difference in the world
At times, admittedly unseen.  But no less felt!

Let go of all attachments

Youth; beauty; health and relationships
Remain forever ephemeral
Nothing you can say or do
Can make it otherwise

Accept this as the universal truth that it is;
Yet rejoice in what once was

A flower is no less beautiful
For returning to whence it first came
And neither is the human soul

 Make time each day to connect to Spirit
As you pray - really feel the words;
Not recite them rote with no emotion
To do that - renders them powerless!

Give thanks for all that you have
Including your trials and tribulations
For these too are blessings in another guise

Love much, forgive often and age gracefully
But, more importantly than all else
To thine own self be true!

Namaste
