Today my life is wonderful;
that's a promise that only I can make
So no matter what happens
Or who puts me down;
that promise I'm not going to break
Today I see beauty in everyone,
people smiling, happy and glad
No matter the news that's put at my feet
nothing will make me feel bad
Today I am giving and grateful,
just as we all should be
And even if I'm not always perfect;
I still see great beauty in me
Today I'll be helpful and kind
to all that enter my day
With kind words and smiles
To pass all around
as I gently go on my way
Today is about forgiving,
all who have done me some wrong
For there's not point in holding grudges
they merely diminish my song
Today is a great adventure full of promise,
laugher and hope
And no matter what problems
Are thrown my way
I'm sure I'll be able to cope
Today you could make the same promise;
it's not all that hard to keep
The benefits are really stupendous and
they are there for us all to reap
