I pray today for all those people out there in the world that are homeless and destitute.  Bereft of friends or relatives that are able and willing to take them in under their care or offer them respite or shelter when most in need.  Be there for them dear Spirit to show them that they are not alone and can and will endure.

For those that have been forced through personal tragedy to sleep under bridges; in shop doorways, on park benches or wherever else they can find to rest their weary heads.  May it prove warm and dry for them and may they be left undisturbed long enough to gain the strength to endure the pain of adversity. May they be filled with the courage to overcome the challenges life has thrown at them and rise up reborn again like a phoenix rising from the ashes on to bigger, better and brighter things.

For those that are struggling now to pay their rent, mortgages or bank loans.  May the dark shadow of being ejected from their home be diminished and eradicated. May the much needed money they require to meet their financial obligations find a way to them well before they end up abandoned on the streets.

For the great many that must wander around the streets all day, that have nowhere to call their own or to rest their weary heads - let alone place their possessions.  May their hearts be filled with love and a promise of a brighter tomorrow as well as a more meaningful insight into why there is often great strength in struggle.  May they be given the help needed to overcome the sense of hopeless that enfolds them now, and be shown a way out of the tunnel of darkness to a place of love and light!

I ask all of this in your name oh merciful Lord and in that of the Lords of Light.
